About Us
We are Dragons, a global creative agency working with bold brands to build cultural relevance, connection, and long-term impact through strategy-led creativity.
We bridge digital and creative thinking, developing innovative work across skincare, healthcare, fashion, lifestyle, FMCG, and more. Our international teams in the US and Barcelona deliver results through smart strategy, sharp creativity, and meticulous execution.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Creative Director with strong conceptual thinking, great visual taste and experience working across global wellness and lifestyle brands.
Someone who can move comfortably between product and lifestyle, science and culture, and who understands how creative needs to work across the full consumer journey.
You might be working on a product with a complex ingredient or efficacy story one day, developing a talent-led campaign the next, and figuring out how that same brand idea translates into more product-focused or conversion-driven work further down the funnel.
This is a global role, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable developing ideas that can travel across markets and cultures without becoming generic.
You’ll lead creative development across global wellness, beauty-adjacent and lifestyle brands, from early concepts and campaign platforms through to production and execution.
We’re looking for someone who cares about the idea as much as the craft, but also understands what the creative is there to do.
You’ll work hand in hand with Strategy, as well as Copy, Design, Social and Production, to understand the audience, cultural context, role of each channel and each stage of the funnel, and translate that thinking into strong creative.
This isn’t purely an art direction role. You need to be able to come up with strong campaign ideas, build on other people’s ideas and turn them into something bigger.
Key Responsibilities
Develop strong global campaign ideas and creative platforms that can live across markets, channels and executions.
Partner closely with strategists from the beginning of the process, challenging and building on briefs rather than simply receiving them.
Understand the role creative plays across the full funnel, from building awareness and brand desire to communicating product benefits, driving consideration and supporting conversion.
Know when an execution needs to build the brand, when it needs to explain the product and when it simply needs to make someone want it.
Turn strategy, product benefits and consumer insights into simple, relevant creative ideas.
Build global creative platforms that have a clear central idea while leaving enough room for markets to make them culturally relevant.
Lead the visual direction of brands across product, lifestyle, talent and culture-led work.
Find interesting ways to communicate ingredients, efficacy, innovation and science without everything suddenly looking clinical.
Make products feel desirable through photography, film, CGI, design, casting, styling and storytelling.
Bring product and lifestyle together naturally, rather than creating a beautiful lifestyle campaign and remembering the product at the end.
Develop ideas around talent, creators, partnerships and cultural moments that make sense for the brand and the market.
Think beyond traditional campaign formats and identify opportunities across social, experiences, collaborations, entertainment and emerging culture.
Lead work from concept through production, keeping the original idea and level of craft intact along the way.
Present and sell creative thinking to senior clients and stakeholders across different markets.
Lead and develop multidisciplinary and international creative teams.
What we’re looking for
A Creative Director who is conceptually strong and visually sophisticated, with a portfolio that shows range.
Big campaign thinking
Ideas with a clear point of view that can become genuine global platforms, not just a collection of executions.
Strong visual taste
A great eye for photography, film, casting, styling, design and contemporary brand aesthetics.
Product storytelling
Experience making products, ingredients, technology or benefits interesting and desirable, especially when there’s real science or efficacy behind them.
Full-funnel creative thinking
An understanding of how people move from discovering a brand to considering and buying it, and how the creative job changes along the way.
Strong creative + strategy partnership
Someone who likes working closely with strategists, has a point of view on the brief and knows how to turn strategic thinking into creative opportunities.
Global thinking
Experience developing work for multiple markets and understanding the difference between a global idea and simply making the same campaign appear everywhere. You should be comfortable collaborating with local teams and adapting ideas around different cultural behaviors and audiences without losing the core creative thought.
Lifestyle and culture
Work that shows an understanding of how brands can play in culture through talent, creators, collaborations, social, entertainment and experiences.
Range
We want someone who can create a beautiful product or efficacy story and then switch gears into a culturally relevant lifestyle campaign without either feeling forced.
Key Requirements
10+ years of creative experience, ideally across agencies and/or ambitious consumer brands.
Significant experience working on global brands and international campaigns.
Experience leading integrated and full-funnel campaigns, from brand-building through product and conversion-focused creative.
Background in wellness, beauty, personal care, lifestyle, premium CPG or adjacent categories.
Experience working closely with Strategy on audiences, consumer journeys, cultural insights and creative briefs.
Experience working with product claims, ingredients, efficacy or science-led briefs is a plus.
Strong photography and film production experience.
Experience working with talent, creators or culturally driven campaigns.
Experience leading multidisciplinary and international creative teams.
Excellent client-facing and presentation skills.
Native or near-native English, or equivalent professional fluency developed through extensive experience working in English. This person needs to be able to concept, debate, present and sell creative ideas confidently in English with senior global clients and teams.
Portfolio
We want to see ideas, taste and range.
Showcase strong campaigns, as well as activations, social ideas, collaborations and product experiences that demonstrate different ways brands can connect with people.
We want to see work that feels relevant to its audience, where the product matters and the visual execution is strong.
Most importantly, your portfolio should demonstrate both sides of the profile: a genuine understanding of the Spanish market and meaningful experience working internationally.
