We bridge digital and creative thinking, developing innovative work across skincare, healthcare, fashion, lifestyle, FMCG, and more. Our international teams in the US and Barcelona deliver results through smart strategy, sharp creativity, and meticulous execution.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Director to lead an upcoming audiovisual shoot for a pharmaceutical product aimed at children.

The ideal candidate will be someone autonomous and highly operational, with the ability to lead the production independently while collaborating closely with the internal team.

The project will involve children as the main talent and will need to communicate the product and its benefits around constipation in a positive, natural and approachable way, avoiding a clinical or overly medical tone.

The shoot is currently in an early development stage. We are considering a studio-based production, although the creative approach, studio and full production setup are not yet defined.

Main Responsibilities

The Production Director will be responsible for leading the production from initial development through to the end of the shoot, excluding post-production.

This is a highly hands-on role, combining strong production management with a clear responsibility for the creative quality and execution of the project.

Working closely with the creative team and the selected director, the Production Director will ensure that the production is set up and executed to achieve the required creative standard, look & feel and overall quality, while maintaining control of budget, timing and resources.

The Production Director will also build and manage the production team required for the project and work closely with our internal production team, who will provide support around processes, financial structure and production systems.

Initial phase – October

  • Review the creative brief and production requirements.

  • Propose a shortlist of directors who could be a strong creative and production fit for the project, including relevant references and reels.

  • Work with the director and creative team to develop the initial production approach.

  • Prepare a first detailed budget estimate, identifying key production costs, assumptions and potential risks.

  • Advise on studio/location options, casting, crew, HODs, equipment and other production requirements.

  • Assess the feasibility of the proposed creative and identify the resources needed to achieve the desired quality.

  • Help define the production strategy and overall approach before moving into full pre-production.

Pre-production & production

Once the director and production approach are confirmed, the Production Director will take ownership of the project through to the end of the shoot, including:

  • Building and managing the local production team.

  • Leading the casting process, with particular focus on casting children and ensuring all necessary requirements and documentation are covered.

  • Selecting and coordinating key Heads of Department.

  • Working closely with the director and HODs to ensure that the creative vision is translated into the production plan and ultimately into the shoot.

  • Sourcing and managing crew, suppliers, studios, equipment and production services.

  • Developing the production schedule and detailed pre-production plan.

  • Coordinating all technical, logistical and creative requirements.

  • Ensuring the production has the necessary resources to achieve the expected creative quality and execution.

  • Managing production logistics, permits, insurance, releases and documentation.

  • Ensuring all requirements related to working with children are properly covered.

  • Managing the shoot on set and acting as the main production lead.

  • Monitoring the execution throughout the shoot and proactively solving any issues that could compromise the creative outcome, schedule or budget.

  • Managing suppliers and production costs throughout the process.

  • Ensuring the project stays aligned with the approved budget, schedule and creative requirements.

  • Overseeing production wrap and delivery of all agreed shoot assets to the relevant internal team.

Working structure

The Production Director will be responsible for building their own production team and managing the local production resources required for the project.

They will work closely with our internal production team, who can provide support particularly around:

  • Production processes and workflows

  • Talent contracts

  • Budget structure and financial controls

  • Purchase orders, invoicing and financial tracking
